TULSA, Okla. (September 16, 2024) – Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) filed for Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) approval to purchase a natural gas combined-cycle generation plant located in Jenks, Oklahoma. This purchase will meet customers’ projected power needs using an existing local facility while supporting the Oklahoma economy.
Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) is contributing $9,250 to rural volunteer fire departments and emergency management teams near its Rock Falls Wind Project area. This donation reflects PSO’s support and gratitude for the critical services these entities provide, ensuring the safety of PSO workers, landowners and neighbors during emergencies.
Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking additional generation resources. The RFP seeks up to 1,500 megawatts of additional power generating capacity to be in service no later than December 15, 2028.
